Our after school tutoring program is dedicated to improving the academic success of children at risk of educational failure in New York and Florida communities through specialized tutoring and unique motivational strategies.

The Challenge
In the past five years, child poverty has risen by 12 percent (or 1.4 million children) to 18 percent of all kids. Numerous studies have correlated crime to high-school drop-out rates, among other factors. Today, planners who build prisons use local third-grade reading levels to predict dropout rates, which in turn predict the number of people who will be incarcerated soon after. For example, a city with an increased dropout rate of 5 percent will likely see a 5 percent rise in crime, a 5 percent rise in teenage pregnancy, a 5 percent increase in need for low-income housing and a 5 percent increase in poverty levels. But our unique program is helping to turn these numbers around!
